The site had the following in the homepage, "I finally got the frame welded together." I noticed that the web site stated " I used arc, mig and tig welding." They also stated " I found it very difficult to mark out the round bar and to get it square. I sometimes wished i had chosen the box. However I am happy now that i didnt as i think the round looks very well. We made it to the Semi-Finals of the Robot Wars, then we were knocked out due to the robot spinning out of control. It is unknown why the robot behaved in this manner, it functioned correctly on a number of occasions throughout the morning. The gap between the board and the carpet caught our bot at the end of the fight. it was balancing on the base with the tracks spinning because the base was only 2mm off the ground. The above picture shows the circuit we have designed for the servo motor to be used in moving the flipper. We designed it in such a way to restrict its movement to a height which will be enough to lift an opponents robot.
