In my perfect world leaders would not be umbrellas for their teams. From the rest of the organization, from the management chain, and from customers. So leaders resort to acting as buffers and blockers of messages, requests, and requirements sent to their team from various stakeholders. So why not just be a better buffer and make the shit umbrella not leak? Wholeheart.
The ambitious want to lead but where does one go to learn leadership? Sure, you can take numerous seminars and leadership classes but how do you gain real leadership training that involves more than just theory but actual real world situations? Why should the ambitious be a good follower? Effective followership is the training ground for effective leadership.
