Ernesto Che Guevara embodies an everyman character in modesty of traits he takes on and hardships he struggles though. Ernesto, played by Gael García Bernal, has young, boyish looks and goes out into a world unknown to him. Ernesto is not an idealized protagonist like we see in many of the Hollywood films of today.
