Costa Rica El Dia Diez. May 19, 2016. Costa Rica El dia Nueve. May 18, 2016. Today we went to Coopedota in the small town of Doka Costa Rica. We started with a meeting with a general manager who was able to answer our questions about some of the logistics and buisness aspects of Coopedota. After this meeting we went on a tour of the facilities and bought some coffee to bring home. We then came back to San Jose and we plan on walking downtown later. Costa Rica el dia Ocho. May 17, 2016. Economic Benefits of the Coffee Industry. Today we had the amazing opportunity to visit the cloud forest in Monteverde. This hiking tour gave us a peek at the ecotourism that Costa Rica is known for. The tour allowed us to see a variety of different species, including some very unique and memorable bird.
At other sites, their main source of revenue was exporting their coffee around the world. They would also sell to Costa Ricans, but they would not get as much business from it. In fact, they would save their worst set of beans and sell them to the Ticos. The fact that Ticos are left with the last pick of coffee can be seen as unjust, but I think it makes sense.
