Alan was trying to get a picture with me and Baby, but as you can tell, Vijay has to be part of the attention at all moments. After dinner we had to say good-bye to both of these families. Monday, June 10, 2013. The other day I ran across this quote from C. I sometimes wonder whether all pleasures are not substitutes for joy. It really struck me, so I retweeted and kept it in the back of my mind. The more I ruminated on it, the more I could see where this applied to many things, not just things we can easily label pleasurable.

Ames, Jer, Zac and Lady K. Monday, May 20, 2013. Lady K is an angel child sent to me to apologize for Zac. She is not very consistent about sleeping through the night, but she goes down with no issues at night and for naps. Very good natured, rarely cries.
