I am an Assistant Professor in the Anthropology Department at Portland State University. My research interests include past hunter-gatherer societies, human ecodynamics, evolutionary theory, ceramic technologies, applied archaeology, and archaeology of the Arctic, Subarctic and Pacific Northwest. Cross-cutting these interests is a long-term commitment to community engagement and collaborative research in all aspects of my work. I use this website to share publications. A diary of moving forward. I guess in truth I had rather nearly given up on this blogthing. Not out of any conscious decision or anything, it just seemed sort of pointless but then so have many things for much of this winter, but then that would be a story more proper for that other blogthing. Anyway, months after my last post I thought that I would chronicle a few tidbits that relate to this whole business of running. But I am getting ahead of myself a bit.

The site had the following in the homepage, "It come to me in a vision." I noticed that the web site stated " A view of the world from the sub-arctic." They also stated " In response to my last post, a good friend sent me a long and very thoughtful email. In said email was shared personal experience and notes of commiseration, as well as a personal anecdote regarding thoughts and problems with the idea of work and ennui. Now, where to begin. These are tiny cubby holes with several barrels, marked as to whether the wine is red, white, dry or sweet. You may even have semisweet or semidry.
