I mentioned at the end of March that as much as i enjoyed making the Mister Finch bulbs, i wanted to do other things that were more original and personal.

No big project to do . but nothing urgent, so I am still playing around with colour combos, textures, precious bits of this and that and practising my very basic hand embroidery stitches. Having fun, which is important for my sanity. still making decisions as to what to add next. Three pieces with a detail of each;. And I would like that to change. I walk in the pool but that season is so short.

Thirty-five hookers from southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands joined us for the day. We also had a show and sale that had over 200 members of the public coming through. Diese kleinen und großen hölzernen Fungi haben unsere Kinder aus Ästen von Birke, Kirschbaum und Eukalyptus gedrechselt. Das Ausgangsmaterial, Baumschnitt und eine eingegangene Kübelpflanze, haben sie sich aus den Holzvorräten zusammen gesucht. Einen gut getarnten Falter haben wir beim Aufstellen leider aus seinem Versteck vertrieben. Diesen habe ich als Geschenk bekommen und gleich ausprobiert, toll! .

Sewing often feels like a mix between art and not-art. I think the process of doing it does help my thought process, plus I often get to use sewing supplies inherited from my grandma or other old ladies in my life.
