The site had the following in the homepage, "Fartleking all the way home." I noticed that the web site stated " Fartlek a Swedish term which in English, means Speed Play ." They also stated " I definitely prefer the English version. A combination of slow, medium and sprints. My first Fartlek session of the year. I havent actually done a Fartlek run before but decided my short 5 mile run from work would be an ideal time. Loved the Fartlek and will most be doing it again, hopefully once or twice a week. Will Wright, the Race Director, had designed a course that showcased the beauty of the island and was technically challenging. The first section round to Hynish included the first two beaches, including Balephuil Beach, one of the endless golden beaches from my youth,.
