A FACE IN THE CROWD - SKETCHBOOK PROJECT 2011. Monday, September 20, 2010. That I did using a baren. I used the same ink. This printing press was a beaten biscuit maker. My husband added some bolts and metal bar. To make a platform for the metal plate to ride on. I cut and layered a piece of suede and two pieces of wool felt. Tuesday, February 20, 2018. That said, I do turn to writers I respect when life lands me on rocky pathways they themselves have trod. I hunger to know how they handled those jarring switchbacks life can throw; how they managed to put one foot in front of the other on those days when all you want to do is stop and sit down. I knew, as Joan Didion knew, that this thought was nonsensical. But I can tell you it was as real as daylight. Oh, I looked at dog rescue sites on the internet.
I rarely use black and white in photography because I love colors so much. Like in this landscape where an early morning mist added some mystery or softness to the countryside. It even showed the glimmer of the railway line under a pale sun. Since then, snow has receded to the mountains, faded autumnal colors are still covering the sides of the hills and I just love the blending of the different layers.

We Are All in the Same Boat. The Princess and the Pea. The Boxcar Children and Elspeth. It runs through the very center of our house. I like to think of it as running through the heart of our home. We havent had any chimney swifts for several years now, and I miss those haunting little coos very much. Our chimney sits on top of the house right in the middle.

Thursday, December 25, 2014. Last year i posted a GIF image for people to share. This year i posted a 1 minute video. Monday, August 25, 2014. The fact, that you were extremely rude and kept interrupting me when i was teaching your grandson the Ancient Tree Lessons for free, is not what upsets me. What upsets me more than your arrogance, rudeness and lack of any social grace towa.
