Friday, November 6, 2015. I cannot believe that we are already in the month of November. I am also loving that one of the local radio stations is already playing Christmas music! Another thing that I prepared this week was the Thankful Turkey. Then I worked on our giant turkey and had it laminated for future years to come. Once the turkey was in the hallway, the students got really excited and wanted to make their feather really pretty.

Saturday, January 7, 2017. Before winter break began, my first graders finished up their nonfiction unit. We reviewed the differences between fiction and nonfiction, learned a few text features and how they can give us information, and we learned lots of interesting facts about the Arctic and its animals. We also learned about igloos! No party is complete without dessert! Where I got the idea.
