An ordinary runner going long. Friday, November 14, 2014. I use this term loosely to mean anything you really want to do that seems just far enough out of reach to seem impossible. Finishing the Stonecat 50 miler was exactly that for me. What worried me the most about this run was what it would be like to recover. If I did actually finish the full 50 miles, what shape would I be in? What about all the training? With the 3rd loop finished, I felt strong.

Friday, June 28, 2013. Sometimes in life you have to say goodbye to friends you have grown to love. That was our case this past weekend with the McMillin family. They have been there for us through thick and thin and are hands down the best family I know. We will miss them like crazy! A random hail storm in June. If you can dance in the rain then you can jump in the hail. Taelor is catcher, has pitched and played first and third this year. She is having a lot of fun.
Tuesday, February 8, 2011. For most of you who are reading this it will be Wednesday Feb 9, 2011. It was a hard day but the most peaceful and wonderful home going. The priest put forth a hand of steel right into her heart. There was a sound of rending and tearing, and the human love, with all its myriad rootlets and fibers, came forth.
