Get me outta here! Critique of the photography class VSAR 302. December 10, 2014. Taking professor Nancy DiBenedettos photo class this semester, I have gained a much grater interest in photography. We got to to a great variety of assignmenst, both indoors, outdoors, and in a professional studio. We also had a couple of guest lecturers that inspired us midway in the semester during our studioshootings. . I feel it has been a great variety to our assignments, and I appreciate that! 1 A camera is a device that allows the user to capture a moment in time with the use of light, lens, and at times film. 2 Depth of field is the distance between the subject and the lens. When using depth of field the photos could come out with a very natural effect such as a blurry background with a frame of focus. You could have a long depth of field with everything in focus, or a short depth of focus were only the subject is in focus.
