The first day we took a bus to Pentagon City Mall to hop on the Metro into Washington DC to visit the Capitol building. The girls loved the Metro going on underground and then above ground over the Potomac was very exciting. I think that by the end of the trip the novelty of the Metro had worn off. We had a quick snack at the visitors center and headed for home.
