I quickly found that the operating room is a whole different animal. There was so much to learn and you had to be on your toes especially in a level one trauma center in the heart of Detroit.

My life as a nurse on the Africa Mercy. When I arrived on November 30 the end seemed so far away. And now here I sit, with three work shifts left with our patients and a couple days of cleaning and shutting down the hospital to go. The patients, their families, the day crew of Malagasy people. I am blessed to work with. They are sending up for me.

After the big operation! Thank you to everyone who supported me to come, you allowed me to help around 450 patients with their dental problems! So, now for some relaxation and t.
