A River of Joy. Wandering, wondering, wading in. Lying Down in Green Pastures a reflection on Psalm 23 and the practice of Sabbath. Ninth Sunday after Pentecost, July 26, 2015. Yesterday, an article landed in my email in-box, about the record-breaking heat on the Great Plains, and how ranchers there are being advised to watch for signs of heat stress in their cattle. As I read the article, I couldnt help thinking that to a rancher in South Dakota, the still waters and green pastures of the 23. But not.PARSED CONTENT
