Working with mixed media stitched textiles gives me great pleasure. As well as the joy in the art of making and exploring, there are the friendships formed as work grows. Thursday, 13 August 2015. I had not planned a second post today but this morning we visited the Italian Church on Lamb Holm and I felt so moved by what I saw that I wanted to share its story.

I use a combination of lattice deformer and joint skinning to create a squashy jaw. The same kind of setup will be applied to the upper head as well. When we rotate fingers towards the palm the first joints of the fingers slide downwards on the Metacarpal joints exposing their prominent shape. It is the Metacarpals that make the distinct shape of knuckles. The fingers define the shape of the fist and knuckles give it definition. And to maintain volume of Knees.
