Kadang-kadang beliau juga dipanggil Pak Mangku atau Mangku Made. Awal pertemuan kami dimulai dari sebuah tempat bernama Puri Damai, sebuah tempat terapi pengobatan usada dan herbal di Tunon, Gianyar. Ternyata disana pula Pak Made menggelar kelas yoga yang khusus diadakan kepada ibu-ibu sekitar daerah tersebut. Singkat cerita kami pun menjadi peserta kelas yoga beliau. Selain yoga, beliau juga mengandalkan ritual.
