Sue and Ted Too! It was a public holiday today and the girls were out in traditional kimonos. 5 hrs by Shinkansen from Tokyo. The leaves are beginning to change colour but it will be a few more weeks before the full beauty of Autumn arrives. Sue and Ted Too! Last Sunday a community group roasted chestnuts and sold them to the public for most of the day. Small boats ferry people to the island.

Cycling in Victorias High Country. The focus of our trip to Japan wasnt food, but we love to eat and enjoyed the adventure of a new cuisine and how it was presented. Things we didnt eat at the Tokyo Fish Market. A meal in our traditional Japanese house in Norjiri was a highlight. Our hosts lit the fire in the centre of the living room and barbequed meat and vegetables on an open grill. Bib on for slurping, and love those gorgeous bowls and plates. I have a new love for leather, so I could not resist this dress when I found it on sale! It is not the most versatile piece, so I am still working it into my wardrobe. I usually stay away from long dresses since I am relatively short, but the sheer fabric helps. Still, I may have to tweak it a bit. The shoes were another thrift store find.
