For four years, Unicoi County High School football was an enigma I was unable to figure out. Blue Devils take to the field against Sullivan East on Friday, Aug. Attending practices, you could see a fire and a drive from players that were tired of taking in on the chin and were ready to get the 2015 season underway.
The Ride for Life team will hold a fund raiser for the Unicoi County Relay for Life, on Saturday, March 29. The Ride for Life will begin at Unicoi County Middle School. Registration and fees will be from 9-10 am, and the ride begins promptly at 10 am. For more information or preregistration, call Ms. Lynn at 743-1689 during the day or 743-5908 in the evenings.
Is it time for a third party to emerge? February 20, 2013 by. This is a reposting of a previously posted article. I wrote this article last year and I feel as strongly about this issue now as I did then. It is time to break the cycle! I believe it is time for a viable third party to emerge.
May 8, 2009 by. Each year, in the springtime, animal shelters are flooded with puppies and kittens born to unfixed parents. I was at UCAS today, snuggling with the little ones.
A Blue-gray Gnatcatcher I spied on April 5 in the willows at the creek provided a new yard bird for my 2008 list. I anticipate the arrival of this tiny, active bird in the last days of March and first days of April. For instance, in 2006 I saw my first Blue-gray Gnatcatcher of spring on March 31. My first sighting in 2007 took place on April 1. The Blue-gray Gnatcatcher I observed at home became my 39th yard bird of the year.
