Student volunteers are needed for the event and the UWE CVP Team will be advertising for recruitment to assist with roles such as Guides, stewards, media coverage and updating the UWE BioBlitz blog. BioBlitz recorded a total of 1007 species at Pourewa Reserve and Kepa Bush, over the course of 22 hours. This is an outstanding result and a credit to all the people who took part. Pourewa Reserve, 111 Kepa Road.
May 27, 2010 by bioblitzuk. The third Northumberland Biodiversity Partnership BioBlitz took place at Ashington Community Woodland on the 21st and 22nd May 2010. A BioBlitz is all about volunteers, scientists, naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts, school groups, students and members of the public working together to find as many different species as possible within a specific natural area all whilst racing against the clock! Wildlife recording is important for all species, not just the endangered, threatened, uncommon and rare.
