Monday, June 13, 2011. The old patch was on the telly the other night, on an episode of The Apprentice where the madheads had to make money from scrap. In Fulham - luxury scrap if you will. The helicopter view drifted over the waste site, showing the Wandle Creek at high tide in the top of the image along with some of the paths in the old stomping ground.

Friday, August 07, 2009. WhitbyBirding is closing as of today. Thank you to all contributors and readers over the last few years, it was fun while it lasted. Thousands of hoverflies through the garden over the last two days, Wednesday evening and yesterday morning were exceptional. In the house this morning. X2 and the next generation of Walls.
To persuade the Government to rethink the idea that building housing estates on farmland is a good idea. Building housing estates could have a detrimental effect on our wildlife. With the removal of hedgerows within farmlands, pesticide use and intensification which have already had a big effect, building more houses would just make this 10x worse. Monday, 25 March 2013.
