To explore the themes of containment and surprise, sculptor Greg Conyne has created a series of boxes resting on custom-built shelves and tables. For Conyne a box represents curiosity, anticipation and reward. The act of opening the container to reveal its contents is at once a pleasurable game and a metaphor for deeper discovering. Exhibited alongside the boxes are several obelisk-like, freestanding wood sculptures in alder and mahogany. Show runs February 27-March 31, 2018.
