Join or Donate to the Friends. Greetings from the Friends of Blackwater! New streaming Osprey Cam! The Friends of Blackwater is a nonprofit citizens support group for Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.
The nest is located on Mathews Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC, USA. Today marks the 48th day since the 3rd egg was laid. Chicks normally hatch 34 - 42 days after being laid. We keep watching and wishing the pair the best of luck. Our cam is back up. Thank you for your patience.

Blackwater NWR Osprey Cam Web Log. September 5, 2015. The nest has been very quiet with few images of any ospreys around. A cam watcher did spot this bird on the nest, but we cant be completely certain that its one of the birds from our cam family, since we have quite a few ospreys around Blackwater Refuge and we also have ospreys migrating down the coast who could be stopping over at the Refuge to rest and feed.
