That class is over and it launched me into writing heaven! After each book in the Lucy Calkins series of study some pieces are chosen for their portfolio and the rest are sent home. Huckleberry Finn is a picaresque novel, and I especially enjoy reading picaresque stories, Don Quixote being one of my all-time favs. I have a large collection of picaresque stories, so maybe I will bring these on Monday. KKL also mentioned Amy Tan, and 100-Secret Senses is swesome. Or my all time favorite. Take the Money and Run. Ch 14 and 9; grading and evaluating.
