Metaphors are not merely for poetry but to describe EVERYTHING! In general, I completely agree with Postman about metaphors and technology. Educators need to be like mother birds, we need to sit on our eggs and give them warmth, but also allow them the opportunity to fall out of the nest every now and then. We must encourage our students to think for themselves and provide them with the tools, technological or other, to achieve their ideas.
