Welcome to a log of wildlife seen in and around the village of Cholsey, Oxfordshire, UK. Felt quite warm in a few places, a hint of spring and some incoming migration! Lollingdon hill hosted 5 Meadow Pipit. This morning that gave a hint of incoming migration, hopefully numbers should build up in the next few weeks.

Background Info and Access Instructions. At last the first spring migrants have been spotted on the Meadow! A couple of days ago Steve Goddard had the first SWALLOW. Of the year hawking over the river and today I saw four SAND MARTINS. Over the river opposite the sailing club. Has been singing in the Trap Grounds for a while now and I heard my first Blackcap. Has started, I explored the reserves at Lids Bottom and Oven Bottom. I had seen a sign for Lids Bottom on my Blewbury Christmas Day walk. I thought it looked interesting enough to visit in the summer. Walking down to it gives fine views over Blewbury village. I then walked back and down to Oven Bottom.
