Albrect Durer- The Knight, Death, and The Devil. Every time I see this work of art it always brings up so many questions that I wish the picture could answer but sadly they are still open for interpretation.

December 13, 2011 in Assignments. The first essay we read was on the Ways of Seeing. At first I was skeptical because what other way can we see? Susan Bordo addresses this topic in her essay.

On December 13, 2011. Maybe he was just watching one of those movies where if you miss a part the whole story stops making sense. With only the picture, every setting I could come up with would be without logical explanation. The explanations I come up with are related to what I know. Had I only seen the painting, or furthermore only heard a description of the painting much like I gave earlier I would have not been able to draw these educated conclusions.

Take artwork as an example. Paintings, sculptures, and photographs are all things that are generally marked as high in value, but why? I, knowing it to be fallacious thinking, would still choose the painting. The collage should have the same value as the painting, but the way things should be do not change they way they are. That does not mean, however.

Women have been viewed as objects for a very long time. Advertisements, television, and books all portray women the way men like to see them. Put on display, and they have no privacy. Now days men are being put in this.
