I need to take advantage of that, of every moment we have left in this gorgeous desert. And not just that, but bringing my camera along. This week I picked Molino Basin.

We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down. The person who will win the day. You give them physical and emotional characteristics. You make them realistic and lifelike. You start to talk to them when no one else is around. Wait, is that last one just me? Anyway, you create them.

Are readers concerned over whether or not a book has a prologue, or has the current dislike for prologues got more to do with publishing fads? When I wrote my debut novel I opened it with my protagonist waking up from a dream. I had been reading books for 40 years prior to publishing Slur.

Which I read recently and really enjoyed. When I first finished this series, I thought of it as quite good, but I simply could not get it out of my head, so I had to review it.

The children are shown with strange, fiery crowns over their heads, as if signifying their creative genius, masters of their imaginations. Kind of weird, but I understand the intent.
