It is situated in north-central part of the country, bordering with dystryktami Gasa and Trongsa from the west, Zhemgang district in the south, dystryktami Mongar and Lhunse from the east and directly from China. 124; Leave a comment. The winter-nights are around -10 C, and the summer-nights around 10 C. Snow is usually in Winters, especially in Bamian. Rain is a lot in Jalalabad, but at least it is very hot there. Badakhshan is another cold place.

Tajfuny are frequent, especially in summer and autumn. In 1970 a record cyclone killed about 500 thousand people. That was one of the largest natural disaster the twentieth century. Tropical cyclone in 1991 killed about 100 thousand people and caused huge losses. In the nineties occurred 16 cyclones. In addition, large fluctuations in water conditions causing disastrous floods in more parts of the country.

Capital Belait district, located in the western part of the country. It is the second largest city of Brunei.
