An Exploration of Civil Rights in Fort Worth. Texas Christian University along with Professor Max Krochmal. Offered a class to allow students to work in groups to explore activist efforts in North Texas. For this project, a group of four students focused on the activism, achievements and challenges of African Americans in Fort Worth during the time of segregation. The group conducted various interviews that highlight experiences of segregation and actions during the Civil Rights Movement.

There is a significant amount of history associated with LGBT rights, but the vast majority of that rich history has gone undocumented. For many years the LGBT community here in Fort Worth, in the nation, and in the world has been largely invisible. They are portrayed as flamboyant and frivolous, yet this is not representative of the majority.
