Saturday, February 13, 2016. Imagine my surprise when Facebook showed me that my last blog post was a year ago today. For someone who always has an opinion and something to say, this was unexpected. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. A little clay from the Garage Sale Art Fair. Today I finished posting the pictures of the accepted artists for the 19th Annual Garage Sale Art Fair.
Monday, February 16, 2015. Sometimes, long after words are written, they are found. Such is the case with a blog entry I made back in 2008. Today I received a beautiful note from one of my readers. They had come across this poem which was cast into stone at the Cosanti Bell Foundry. I included the poem in my 2008 blog entry. The poem was cast by a worker there in 1968. SPIRIT, CALL ME SON THAT I MAY SEEK MYSELF WITHOUT TIRING.
I was reflecting on how very different the situation would have been had the original footage been captured today. In the last year, high definition video cameras have become common. Most will produce a frame grab that is generally acceptable for many small print applications.

The site had the following in the homepage, "The room sounded like it was." I noticed that the web site stated " Another booth photo had come up on the screen and jurors groaned." They also stated " Artists understand what I am about to talk about, for my non-artist readers, an explanation is due. When we artists want to be in a show we just cant add our names to the list. We must apply and be juried in. It sounds so simple, but continues to mystify us artists as we apply to shows with our great work and dont get it. WHY! A ideia foi criar um espaço amplo e aconchegante, com uso de materiais quentes como a madeira e demolição e grandes peças de mármore italiano. O ambiente foi propositalmente disposto de forma que todos os espaços fossem comtemplados com a beleza e o calor da lareira, elemento central do bangalo.
