We played a number of songs then the guys put me upfront for a solo. A number of people cheerfully wandered about, semi interested in the band. Habitually closing my eyes, it was joy slipping deep into the flow of the music. As we continued, I began drifting out of my body as if going to sleep. The music continued but I was no longer playing the notes. It was pure thought in musical form.
