I noticed that the web site stated " This week in the Love Fruit Stand, the Butterfly saints celebrated Earth Day by learning how small changes in our daily routines can make a positive impact on our environment which is a fancy word for the world all around us." This week in the Joy Fruit Stand. Our theme this week was camping! Oh did your little saints have fun with that! They got to take turns being inside of a tent, listening to different sounds of nature and even pretending to roast marshmallows. We read books about camping and did some very nice crafts. From making a campfire , lacing a camping canoe boat, and getting creative and making our very own camping scene. Lastly, your little saints did a FANT.
We began our unit on mapping by investigating maps of the United States and Virginia. Follow That Map! By Scot Richie was a favorite book in our classroom! Finally, it was time to apply all that learning! We love reading with our whisper phones! .
