Understanding myself a work in progress. This January 1st reflection by Daniel was originally posted on his Facebook. Hunter cried for about 20 minutes before finally falling asleep. Finally, I have a moment of peace before calling it a day. But then again, so what? Life is a journey. Every stage in life, every place, has its own scenery.
Once in a while, I crave that certain salty yeasty flavour that I learned to like during my senior high school years in Perth, Western Australia.
At this time in my life, I feel grateful. Last weekend, I went on an apple picking trip with my wonderful boyfriend, his brother and wife, their dog, and a group of my friends. The ability to even say that seems wonderful to me because there was a long period in my life, where the possibility of that statement felt impossible. The importance of thinking for yourself.
