It was lovely to be able to open up the school to share our achievements. The sun shone as families rose to the den building challenge. Children enjoyed sharing their work with their parents whilst sitting outside on the meadow. Others had fun sharing their programming skills with parents and governors.
Class Caterpillar had great fun this afternoon in the woods. Today it was all about those important listening skills and working together. This term has seen a busy breakfast club. All children interact brilliantly with each other; they look after one another, help each other and play together inventively. Below is a video taken today of a relay game instigated by the children.
Another exciting week, which began with making ice-cream without a fridge! We were very lucky to receive a visit from a chemist from NAPP laboratories, who showed us how to investigate a change in materials from liquid to solid by making ice-cream. The children were delighted especially since those who had allergies were also able to join in the fun, by making fruit juice sorbets. Poppy said I really enjoyed making the ice cream because it was exciting and fun! .
Out with the Old and in with the New. The children did very well learning lines and words to all of the songs. Moving on up to Class? July 6, 2015.
Our Challenge Conqueror tasks were designing a box of chocolates and researching the Cacao Tree. We were working on the skills of recognising and avoiding distractions, and of planning and completing tasks even when they were complicated.
