Affirming My Life as Mine- Lovely and Free. This semester I have picked up a few pointers that I could take into a classroom setting. I found this book to be a relatively short and easy read.

The text book Argument Writing by George Hillocks, Jr. is a fantastic book to be kept for language arts teachers. My biggest takeaway from nearly every chapter of this book is if I was going to be a classroom teacher, I would want to remember that exercise. In chapter 7 Hillocks proposes a specific story to inspire debate and conversation in a classroom. His specific example is a story about Superman, and whether he is brave.
