Bailey Lake Michigan Writing Project 2013. com site in all the land! Log Report for 7-25-13. How to improve writing of ELL students in a content area? Did you ever have a class with a bunch of drummers in it? This year I have all of the ELL students on my team. They are not all in the same class, they are spread out, but I see all the sixth-graders that are serviced by the ELL teacher, or on the watch list. There are 12 out of 75. It presents its own set of challenges.

I feel like I have finally been given the tools to teach. For a long time I have wanted to be a teacher, but this is the first time I have gotten pragmatic advice on how to put that desire into practice. And I still ascribe to that philosophy. Thank goodness for LMWP, because now I can put that philosophy to work. I have learned so much from e.
The writing should flow easily. So incredibly thankful for the past four weeks. Why will it rot my teeth out? Why do I have to go to bed? Why is it bedtime? Because I said so. But why is it Sunday? .

When I was first introduced to the project, there was a mess in my head. It sounded like something I wanted to do, but what was it exactly that I would do. My colleagues tried to assure me that it was writing and reading of my choice, both academic and personal.
