I am interested in algal physiology and ecology, and the factors that drive primary production patterns within an ecosystem. My recent work has focused on the Nitrogen metabolism of microbial cells and communities, and the connection to larger-scale N-cycling through the ecosystem.

I am currently a PhD candidate in the Stachowicz Lab. I work at the interface of behavioral and community ecology to address the effectiveness of marine management practices. Through subtidal research, I investigate how animal behavior influences the structure and function of ecosystems.
