Cooking Matters is a program that works to ensure children and parents with lower incomes learn to shop, prepare, and eat healthy foods on a limited budget. Our organization helps hundreds of families each year attain a healthier diet through hands-on, multi-session cooking and shopping courses. Cooking Matters courses are led by local culinary and nutrition volunteers who combine hands-on food preparation with practical nutrition, food budgeting, and shopping techniques.
