This is one of my favourite winter dishes. I have been making this dish since I was at University, and it has become one of my favourite comfort food dishes. It is super easy to make, requires only one pot, and is delicious served on its own with some warm crusty bread.

Thursday, February 11, 2010. Tomato sauce with onion and butter. Pasta has been one of my favorite dinner staples for the last 20 years. I especially like spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Cream sugar and shortening until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, then add sour cream and vanilla. Slowly add all dry ingredients until blended well.
