Wednesday, April 20, 2011. First and second grade traveled to Tyler Arboretum to have an educational lesson and then explore the grounds. Second graders participated in Seeds and Plants. And learned explored different plants at the Arboretum. We looked at a Blue Cedar tree and the female and male cones it produces. We looked at the Magnolia trees and their buds and petals. The seeds of a dandelion travel by wind, which we all saw when Elina blew on one.
