The site had the following in the homepage, "A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND JOURNAL." I noticed that the web site stated " 1 READER REACTION Describe your initial reaction to the story and explain why you felt that way." They also stated " 2 PLOT Describe the order of events what happened first, second, third, etc. and identify any flashbacks or flash forwards less than 100 words. 3 CHARACTER Identify the main characters and describe them as explained in the story name, age, , personality, education, religion, marital status, etc. Do the same with the minor characters."ANALYZE MORE BUSINESSES
The first major character we meet. He, like most of the students, comes from a traditionalized household. He is the one who reboots the Dead Poets Society, the catalyst that causes the remaining events to unfold. He decides to seize the day by trying out for a part in Midsummer Nights Dream,.
I thought it was dark, it shows a lot of people with a belief in nothing greater that their own desires. It tries to be upbeat, but fails. Mr Keating, and the idea of the individual over the group, and tradition. Keating is the charismatic leader that encourages the boys to rebel against conformity, and tradition. Walt Whitman is his god, and poetry and teaching are his passions. Mr Nolan is the dean of the school, and embodies conform.
Asymp; Leave a comment. My initial reaction to the movie was that I felt some what inspired by the movie. It was good movie to watch and I can definitely see myself watching it again. Though the movie did start off somewhat slow and boring, it picked up at the end and I was really satisfied with that. The most prevalent philosophical idea expressed in the movie is carpe diem , in which means seize the moment. The words come from a Latin poem by Quintas Hora.
I learned that i have a great deal of growing to do in my trust and faith in our Lord. I wept because i was overwhelmed with goodbyes. God has shown me so much through these people. They helped me get through the extremely hard summer. And then i had to leave them. I thank God for this opportunity, because it gave me the beginning experience that ive needed.
