Christian and Patriotic Views From Ulster. Many people over the last few months have enjoyed reading and taking part in this blog, The Watchmen. As a friend of the owner of this blog, it is my sad duty to inform the readers, that Jim, the owner of this blog, passed away in the early hours of 9th April, quite suddenly. Jim is now at home with the Saviour Who died for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Dorothy, at this sad time.

Poetry about family and everyday things. As I walked in the graveyard. Like I so often do. I found a small headstone. With an old Concrete shoe. It seemed to be worn from. Time spent on top of a stone. Yet it seemed to fit perfect. Like it felt right at home. I thought of the strong winds. That did not make it fall. The snow and the ice storms. The rain and sunshine it saw. I thought of the days. After days that it stood. On a hill all alone.

Sort of like a bridge. April is great ya know? It has to rain. On cold late night mornings.

One mourns a friend gone forever. Someones plan seems to be lost. While too many count the cost. Since time began, it has been so. Bullets or words start the fight. The end result remains the same.
