A group of 20 skiers and 2 waxers headed to Austria January 19, 2014 for the Masters World Cup of cross country skiing in the Pillerseetal area which is roughly north east of Kitzbuhl between Hochfelzen and Waidring.

Grand Whazoo and Truck Camper Escapades

Saturday, August 8, 2015. Sailing the Southwest with the Whazoos. Have been the one though. At least I narrowed it down to two hundred or so pictures. It was about two hundred twenty miles of dirt roads and some 4wheeling. This will probably be one of the longer. And feel much better now.

Travels with the Lighthawks

Exploring remote and familiar terrain along the Sierra range and eastward into the Great Basin. Monday, July 20, 2015. Memorial Day Weekend in Sierra Valley. This year, Memorial Day seemed like a perfect opportunity for a one-night camping trip in nearby Sierra Valley. We left town Saturday morning, planning to take advantage of the recent late spring rains by doing some paddling in the Feather River Channels. A pair of white pelicans sunbathed on the banks of the channels.
