How Gender Performs In Our Lives.

8220;The fallen woman is only seen as the fallen woman because of the rigid gender roles. Without the gender roles, the categorizations of Fallen Woman and Angel in the House would be non-existant.

As discussed at length throughout this blog the idea of masculine performance is a very complex issue. The enforcement of how people of the male gender are shaped into acting is a result of many issues within our society including, films, television, commercials, and narratives.

I hope that you are currently more informed on the issues gender roles and ideals bring to culture as well of how the media impacts our views. Not only did these women defy the social norms, they succeeded in do.

On my definition of terms. Page, I talk about the Oxford dictionary definition of interpellation, and how it differs from my own in regards to gender interpellation specifically. Most times, the policing is more subtle. But this video shows that is not always the case.
