History in the digital age. A study focusing on perceptions of the Internet discovered that respondents considered information found on the Internet to just a credible as information they would receive through newspapers and magazines. With the advent of online archives, and blogs, historical research has entered the World Wide Web. Can historians rely on Internet sources? There is no doub.
In the penultimate Digital History class we looked at image analysis. Anna Pegler-Gordon an assistant professor of history at the James Madison College of Michigan State University suggested that visual media often seem more accessible to our students than the written record. Students themselves mention that images make the past seem more accessible, giving concrete shape to a world that sometimes seems intangible. However, I have found out a very important element that could make a huge difference in everyday life. Take a silent time off of life!
