Tuesday, 31 May 2011. A thought struck me this morning when I went to the local shop to buy the Echo. I glanced at the other newspapers and saw a myriad of mostly pathetic headlines and thought it was stupid that so many newspapers were total rubbish. Then I thought that no matter how stupid they are people are entitled to read what they want to. On the other hand, there are some instances when having competition is counter productive.
Was formed at a meeting on the 22nd Sept 2010 attended by local representatives from the FBU, UNITE, UCU, Rugby TUC, Rugby Green Party, Socialist Alliance, and the Socialist Party and meet every 2nd Thursday of the month at 7. 30pm at the Three Horse Hotel, Sheep Street, Rugby CV21 3BX . None of them seem especially concerned with a group with as little power as the disabled, which is a shame as their support would have been nice! Obviously Trafalgar square is the venue for many demonstrations and events, so we kne.
Queers against the Cuts will be marching with the Queer Friends of Chelsea Manning on Saturday. Queer Friends of CM are registered to take part in the march and have asked us to join them. Hopefully we can all meet up for a drink or a coffee after we reach Trafalgar Square. Come join us on No More Austerity March. Looking forward to seeing you.
