Through television shows, movies, and the media, black men are considered to be dangerous, especially when they are walking alone at night. They are more likely to get stopped by the police and questioned for anything that might have happened in the immediate area.

I think it is crucial for a writer to find his or her own, distinctive voice and use it in his or her writing. The writer must also use personal experiences to give evidence to his or her claim; this builds his or her personal credibility and relatability. However, the writer must also include sources of authority on the subject to back their claim in order to make it even more convincing and giving the paper more substance.

I thought that her overall conclusion that only after we revise and find the voice of our own authority are we able to speak convincingly.
