Saturday, December 13, 2008. Last night I experimented with a chain stitch. For the first time post learning it in class. But then I ended up with these. In the photograph than they are in real life. I actually cut an 8. 5 by 11 sheet of paper into fourths,. And they measure up to one of those fourths. You can probably see the chain stitch. This is an exposed spine.
Today has not been super productive in the school department thus far. Although I did clean the kitchen, fold and put away three loads of laundry, made a yummy breakfast and snack and locked Toby on the balcony. He wanted to go out there! With salsa, obviously. He tends to go wit.
Clean and tasty, nothing less. I think that when I wrote this. I was merely postponing the inevitable. At the time, I really did believe I could manage one blog post per month. And had I really tried, I would have succeeded.

A week ago from today I left for Camp Conrad-Chinook, a summer camp in the mountains that is for Type I diabetic children. It was really beautiful and the cabins and facilities were actually all pretty nice for a camp. Here is one with Shannon on the far right. The doctors would also be there and they would be helping give insulin or telling them how much to bolus.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Rain, Rain Go Away. We have had a very wet spring so far in the Pacific Northwest. When we actually have sun. I have so much going on that I am unable to get out into the garden. Tonight rain was in the forecast. but surprise! It is NOT raining. it is blustery and chilly but still good enough to get my hands in the dirt. some garlic that I thought my dogs had destroyed last year. So happy! Not too bad for April 22, 2014. There are still many weeds to pul.
I graduated with a B. Sc in Neuroscience and have started on my PhD in Biology, working on molecular genetics following fetal alcohol exposure. Heavy emphasis on animals, hotties, landscapes and anything else I really want to look at. Delicious Latin lunch today! Casually snuggling an umbr.
