Initially, due to the technology factor, I was apprehensive about this class. However, I have gleaned so many exciting resources and strategies from internet sites, Dr. Woodrow Trathan, and my fellow bloggers that I am looking forward to teaching now more than ever. The site had the following in the homepage, "Analyzing the songs of the Regulators." I noticed that the web site stated " In this lesson plan, students read songs written by the Regulators protesters against high taxes in North Carolinas Piedmont just before the American Revolution." They also stated " Students analyze the lyrics of the songs to determine the political, economic, and social concerns of the Regulators. A lesson plan for grade 8 Social Studies. As a Secondary English Ed major with minors in math and physics, the langauge arts websites as well as the math and science websites intrigued me. I did not realize that there were so many resources for teachers on the web that are so easy to access.

I feel this will be helpful information for me as a teacher. I feel vocabulary is a very important part of students learning and should have more focus. I think it is important for all contexts and should be a primary focus at all times. I really enjoyed the shared examples in the articles.
